Mr Ellis has now provided me with two full knee replacements in 2024. The first in mid April which has healed nicely and I had proved a major improvement to my quality of life. The second just a week ago on the 1st October. Both done at the excellent Spire Alexandra Hospital.
For me these are life changing operations and will allow me to be more involved with my family and the hobbies that I had to stop some years ago. Mr Ellis is direct, open and honest in consultations and therefore there were no surprises and nothing I felt I could not ask.

After a successful partial knee replacement operation in March Mr Ellis injected my other knee with steroid and hyaluronic acid which is brilliant for a while. And it doesn't hurt when he does it!! He continues to assist in a friendly manner and I am happy to come back if I have a problem with my arthritis.

Every interaction with Mr Ellis was professional and friendly from the initial consultation after being referred to the hospital by my insurance.
He communicated clearly and with empathy which put me at ease, his attitude showed he wanted to do everything within his ability to help me throughout the process, from consultant through to having my surgery.

Mr Ellis has looked after my knee for more than 12 years and when it came to TKR I had no qualms in putting myself in his care. He is easy to get on with, personable and honest and his phone call the night before was reassuring and his insisted on calling my son after surgery. The Spire Alexandra provided a caring back up team and I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Ellis and The Spire to anyone with a similar problem.

Mr Simon Ellis is one of the South East's leading knee surgeons. He has over 25 years’ experience as a consultant based in Kent. Simon has a very simple but important mission statement "I give the same quality of care to my patients as I would want my family and friends to receive". Simon prides himself on communication.
