This was for pre-op assessment and bloods
Excellent hospital
I was cared for post operatively on Dickens Ward. The nursing staff and students have excellent care, listened to my needs and acted professionally. The HCA however needs some extended training on taking observations. My blood pressure remained low for 24hrs after surgery. The HCA repeatedly attempted to retake my blood pressure 2-3 times on each occasion to obtain a different reading. As I am in healthcare myself I know this is incorrect procedure. I verbalised this to the HCA on more than one occasion and eventually had to allow her to only take my blood pressure once on each occasion. This did not make me feel confident in this element of my care.
I have had three operation at Ashford hospital and have always received great treatment and the staff are wonderful.
I was very relaxed in the hospital. It was much calmer than I expected! It was clean and the level of care from the staff was excellent.
Well organised, speedy in being seen in Outpatients. No queues or crowded areas. My hospital stay was very pleasant, every aspect made me feel safe and secure. And the food was impressive compared with other hospitals I’ve been to. I was very impressed with the care Mr Gupta showed me after my operation on the ward.
I found my treatment caring and helpful.
Ashford hospital came across as very well organised. The waiting time in the departments l visited was kept to a minimum.
All staff were efficient and polite.
Hospital was clean and tidy.
I’ve always had the best possible treatment and care in all departments
Excellent care all round. Couldn't fault it all. I was very anxious at the time but my mind was put at rest with the staff in the day surgery unit.
Wonderful NHS they are life savers.
