I was seen at Euxton Hospital as a private patient, I would highly recommend the hospital
We have been visiting the Royal Preston and worked here for years. We always find it a very good hospital with its patients at its fore.
The only draw back is the parking arrangements. Both for visitors and staff, which do not meet the needs of staff or public. We feel this diminishes its fantastic reputation. Whilst we realise this parking eye, the trust do have an involvement in who it employs to manage the car parks.
I was only an outpatient for radiotherapy but everyone was very helpful.
Although the hospital is under a lot of stress due to years of underfunding and lack of resources, once eventually seen to, the staff are absolutely brilliant.
All appointments were on time.
Staff allways greated you and made you feel comfortable by giveing you their name.
Keep the good work up.
my treatment was first class
I was referred by my GP, my first appointment cancelled by the hospital. I kept emailing asking for another appointment. After three attempts I contacted PALS, the complaints department, and was informed the system had ‘lost my details’. I was in contact with outpatients and also gynae begging for help after waiting 11 months for a gynae specialist. I was given details of secretarial numbers to chase and beg for help myself. It’s the most helpless and powerless I’ve ever felt.
The standard i thought was very high in general.
My husband attended A and E on 4 February in the evening. The service was excellent. The staff were second to none. From Dan the nurse, Dr Heesmah (sorry I know the spelling is wrong - she was young and very professional and reassuring) to the medical student doing an HCA role) - all were patient, kind, respectful and nothing was too much trouble. We can’t express in words how truly grateful we were for the service he received. They all seemed to be going above and beyond. Thank you. We felt reassured the whole time we were in A and E.
From the first consultation to the end of treatment review I was treated with care, compassion and dignity. If I was concerned about any part of treatment or medication I was given I could call my contact nurse Andrew Hunnisett.
The whole Rosmere experience throughout my Radiotherapy was a calming one I never felt uneasy or scared the whole team from Consultant mine was Tracey Elliis,Andrew as mentioned and all the specialist radiographers I had the pleasure of meeting were truly professional.
I can't praise their work enough.
