I had surgery with Mr Lawes back in May 2023, didnt go to plan and I had issues from the surgery. Made me wait 6 months before getting me back in for a second operation which still did not resolve the issues. I then had to go elsewhere to have a third operation to resolve issues. Had 12 months off work due to the first operation and poor aftercare. When approached them about it I was basically told its tough luck. Terrible experiance would not return.
Shocking poor aftercare. Left for hours without access to the toilet after surgery. Left in terrible pain with overdue meds. No ice therapy following knee replacement. Nurse threw away blood in urine sample. The staff blamed short staffing and not enough facilities. I left in pieces and followed up with a urine infection, pneumonia and ptsd.
Had a hip replacement surgery and related pre and post operation care. A fantastic facility staffed with great, caring health professionals. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Aside from waiting half hour from my appointment time I cannot fault the card I received, every member of staff I encountered was happy, explained things to me and I felt safe. Hospital was very clean and after I was seen by the doctor initially, all the tests and seeing the doctor after happened very quickly but was through.
Staff looked after me and helped me through my operation and my recovery cannot thank them enough
Having visited another private hospital prior to the Nuffield at Tunbridge Wells I can honestly say that the staff at the Nuffield are far more professional, kinder, friendlier and helpful.
Everyone went out their way to make me feel as comfortable and at ease as possible. This was the same at every appointment. The hospital is scrupulously clean. Everything runs calmly to time and you are always made to feel important. The standard of care I received could not have been better.
If I had a choice I would opt for this hospital every time.
Mr Young and his whole Team showed care and compassion throughout. Every step was clearly explained and I was made to feel at ease through out, even though I am usually a nervous patient.
The staff simply told my husband who was feeling nauseous and dizzy after a major gastro procedure that once he got home he would feel much better! ( he was a daycare, but told to pack an overnight bag should he feel too unwell to go home). He could barely stand on discharge and walking from the ward to the car was very difficult for him, but they ( the nurses) assured him that he would feel much better once he had some fresh air. The ward sister could not be bothered to get off her backside to say goodbye because she was too busy flirting with the consultant. Overall for a private hospital, the care was ok but the attitude of the nurses was to get rid of the patient as quick as possible.
There wasn’t anything I could say was wrong while I was cared for. The overall care from the all the staff was excellent.
I was so impressed by all the staff I experienced from the receptionist as I entered the hospital to the nurses, radiographer and Consultant. I have never received such good care collectively and will always use the Nuffield Tunbridge Wells when I require care.
