My experience with the stoma nurse - Fiona Holtham - was excellent throughout. My initial meeting was pre-surgery when I was incredibly anxious about having a stoma -Fiona explained everything in a way that was easy to understand; she was able to put my multiple fears at ease and answer all of my questions. Once I had a stoma, Fiona provided guidance and support as well as helping me determine the best products for me to manage my stoma. What was a very difficult time and experience for me was made significantly easier and more manageable as a result of Fiona’s support - she was professional, knowledgeable and approachable at all times.
